This oil is on record to have been distilled more than 5000 years ago. It was used in cleansing leprosy, and priests would anoint on right ear, right thumb, and right toe. It was also used as an insect and moth repellant.

These majestic, ancient trees – likely the cedar of Lebanon (C. libani) – are still around today, and are a source of antioxidant essential healing oil. The Bible lists cedarwood as:
